Greeting all

Here it is the 6th of January 2013 the world didn't end, the sky hasn't fallen and despite our White House and Congress unable to make any decision on any one thing the government is still operating (poorly and inefficiently).  Those in congress and the white house still are getting raises and collecting money after they have left their respective offices which is wrong on several levels, and their approval rating  lower than any time history.  Life isn't bad, it is our attitudes that make all the difference.  With a good attitude we are able to tolerate many things. Even gout; we find that if you can keep a good attitude and  we find that if we can joke about the condition and maintain a positive attitude that condition of gout seems to shorter and less intense.

So in the end keep a positive attitude and live life at your best at all time.

Best Regards

The challenge

I have been volunteering at a employment resource center helping the unemployed get employed.  I have written many resumes that have gotten interviews and led to employment.  I am also in a position where I could use work, but when I look through the job postings I find myself very dis-satisfied with what I find.  Most of my career I have worked in a factory situation in Quality Control departments.  I have been a Process Inspector all the way to a Quality Manager. Now when I look at factory work I get a feeling of being confined.  What do I do now? What other type of employment is out there, and how do I find it?

I believe that I would like to do some work from my home, for example a personal call center, maybe a researcher, or an article writer. If anyone has a great idea please feel free to comment on my blog.

Happy reading

Kevin

No Gout but Diabetes is here to stay.

No gout, but the diabetes is causing my calves to swell and ache. Most of the time they feel like they are raw and even the socks and pant legs rubbing against them feels painful. They also have twinges of pain frequently. I have been watching my A1C, the last two time it was above 7, before that I have several that were in the high 6's I hoping to bring it back down into the 6's next time I check.  That is just about a month away.  How is your health, gout, diabetes, obesity, or a combination of things. Please feel free to comment.

Have a great day

A new project

Here we are it's Nov 30, 2011. Thanksgiving is behind us and we are looking forward to Christmas. My wife and I are on the Dave Ramsey budget, we just started so we have a lot of work to do. Our debt is fairly low in respect to total debt, but our debt to income ratio it's very lop-sided. I have selected one debt to focus on and when that is paid off I will move to the next debt in line. I have several items for sale including my motorcycle and my 1998 Jeep with these two items sold we will have our emergency fund in place and a good jump on the second or third bill in line.
Well this will be an exciting new project for us to work on, and I'm excited to see success as we move forward in this project.

Well I'll let you know how things go.

Things have been going so well that I may need to change the name of my blog to "I don't Got Gout". That's true, I haven't had gout for a long time. It's been great.

Here it is August 2011

Hello All

Here it is Aug 2011 and my gout seems to be very well under control. I'm am on a regular dose of Allopurinol and very seldom miss a day. It's also been about 5 years from the heart surgery I think that has something to do with it also. Any way just thought I give an up date. How are the rest of you doing?

Regards

No joint pain, no gout, no problem

Greetings all
Today is January 30Th 2011. I have been without gout for six months or so. I still have some stiffness in my joints, but nothing too bad. My wife has started the diet and exercise program that Jillian Michaels promotes. She is dragging me along with her and we are both are doing good. She has lost eight pounds and I have lost six. Aside from the weight loss my diabetes is much more under control. My insulin usage has dropped from 120(+) units to ten units a day. I have been exercising on a daily basis and even though it's been only a week I am feeling better already. Having said all that I am far from perfect at sticking strictly to it, but I'm getting better. So if you're like me start a diet and exercise program and you'll feel better. Don't worry if you aren't perfect, even the smallest change will help.

Better run, have a great day and start something good.
